CNN poll (Chritianne Amanpour's special Saturday night) indicated that 14% of British Muslims supported muslim terror attacks against Britain. The poll indicated that 50% considered terror a natural response.

This is from memory of the advertisement blurb as they flashed on tv.

If this is the case in Britain, then what is like here in teh USA?

During the actual show, they indicated that 13% of the muslims in England supported last August's attempted bombing of 10 airliners.

She interviewed some muslims trying to combat the problems. But, when 1 in 8 support terrorism and 1 in 2 consider terror an acceptable option, can the peace minority make a difference?

A sad percentage, to be sure, but there's no telling what you'll find when you start asking folks what they really believe.

In 2004, a Cornell University study found that 27 percent of Americans believe that all Muslim Americans should be required to register their whereabouts.

Back to the Brits - Polls have consistently shown that U.K. Muslims are more anti-western than Muslims on the continent, even though Brits have a more favorable opinion of Muslims than the Europeans do. British muslims also are more anti-Jewish and only 17 percent believe Arabs were involved in 9/11 (compared to 48 percent in France.)

    Great post!

I agree that it is a sad percentage, but I would add that I think it is a scary percentage.

    God bless
