ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A Christian televangelist who harshly criticizes Islam and other religions said Friday that his late-night program is being pulled off the air because of pressure from a Muslim group.

Hopefully, very few people were watching that fella's show at 1:00 a.m. Preachers like him, with needlessly inflammatory language if one's goal is to preach the gospel of God's grace and mercy, give Christianity a bad name and a bad reputation among those who are lost.

Bill Keller has been , IMO, a voice of extremism and irrationality. If I owned a station, I wouldn't sell him time either.

"In a May 2 broadcast, the televangelist said Islam was a "1,400-year-old lie from the pits of hell" and called the Prophet Mohammed a "murdering pedophile." He also called the Koran a "book of fables and a book of lies."

I never heard of him before, but that sounds like a pretty good description to me.
