Long time, no see! How have you been?

I have always heard that the international diplomatic corps liked NYC because everything in the world was sold there and they could send it home duty free. Of course, if it were in Canada as Mioque posted to start this thread, some of them could have a same-sex marriage without having to travel to Spain, Belgium, or the Netherlands.

The Bible mentioned Babylon long before Left Behind did. Try nearly 2000 years when John the Revelator got the word.

    Rev.14
[8] And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

    Rev.16
[19] And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

    Rev.17
[5] And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

    Rev.18
[2] And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

[10] Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

[21] And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

Hmmm...harlot, oil for food, greed, etc., abortion on demand and abortion as birth control.... sounds like a description of the the wicked UN to me...

Good question, BiR. I wonder why the UN did not support this enforcement. Do you think it might have had anything to do with oil for food?</font>[/QUOTE]I would imagine that it had more to do with the fact that there were still UN inspectors on the ground in Iraq just before we went into the country.......

    Regards,
    BiR
