    They won't:

Rom 10:13 For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Rom 10:14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
Rom 10:15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"
Rom 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?"
Rom 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

No no, my apologies I should have made myself more clear. Salvation is from God, the question was does He show in scripture that He makes sure someone hears the Gospel before He saves them. I contend He does based on the scripture in OP and I also appreciate the Revs input above. What is your take?

Man brings the gospel UNTO the elect. It is the Holy Spirit that takes the gospel from that point and empowers it as His creative word to reveal Christ in the heart (Gal. 1:15-16). This empowered revelation creates ears to hear and eyes to see and thus the gospel comes "not in word only but IN POWER and IN THE SPIRIT and IN MUCH ASSURANCE" (2 Cor. 4:6).

So, when God empowers the gospel and SPEAKS through it into the heart of man that spoken word is creative in power, (2 Cor. 4:6) thus creating ears to hear and eyes to see. So it is a simeltaneous creative action of revealing Christ in the heart as the very term "reveal" necessarily infers ability to see what is revealed or else it is not a revelation.

    Once again:

    Is this what you mean?:

'Must you hear the gospel to go to heaven?'

If so, then the burden is on you to show that 'saved' means 'go to heaven'.

And while you're at it, show 'lost' to mean 'bound for hell'.

You'll be hard put to separate 'lost' from 'lost sheep'.

    They're not 'goats', they're 'sheep'.

I know of three different opinions, one say's you don't have to hear the gospel to be eternally saved, another group say's you do have to hear the gospel to be eternally saved, another group which we haven't discussed believes every man has to hear the gospel of God's free sovereign grace from a sovereign grace preacher because the true gospel is only preached by a sovereign grace preacher. I believe there is strong points and weak points in all three groups.

It tells me that 'you people' glibly toss around 'saved' and 'lost' as if you actually know the biblical meaning of the terms, but you don't. It's all 'status quo' with 'you people', true biblical meaning of terms takes back seat to 'status quo'.

and that's because when it comes down to serious debate ETERNAL salvation can be shown as being separate and distinct from GOSPEL salvation.

It's status quo pinoy, EVERYBODY knows that saved means going to heaven, and EVERYBODY knows that lost means going to hell.

Didn't intend to be rude, just bluntly stating the fact of the matter as it concerns 'status quo', "EVERYBODY knows that saved means going to heaven, and EVERYBODY knows that lost means going to hell".

See Biblicist last post, those are my beliefs but put more elegantly then I could. But to directly answer the question, no, God uses us as messengers, works in the persons heart and gives them the faith too believe.
