My bailout proposal...

    Why not divide the 700,000,000,000.00 among American US Citizens 18+ and forget the bailing out the Man?

    Assuming there’s 200 million 18+ adults citizens, that’s 3,500,000.00 bucks per adult. Of course we’d have to pay Uncle Sam 30% (1,050,00) and that’ll leave us with an individual check for…2,450,000 and if your married…that’s 4,900,000 bucks!

    So what would you do with a 2,450,000 to 4,900,000 in your family?

    Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.
    Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads
    Put away money for college - it'll be there
    Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
    Buy a new car - create jobs
    Invest in the market - capital drives growth
    Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves
    Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else

    How do you spell…”Economic Boom?”

    Note: This isn’t really my plan…I got this from an email and I’m sure there’s faults with it, but it sure sounds good to me!

    The actual U.S. population over the age of 18 is 230,000,000. So using real numbers the 700 billion dollars works out to $3,043 per person. Which is more than the bribe or "stimulus packages" passed or proposed recently but is still not enough to pay of your mortgage and send your kids to school.

    Also, the 700 billion will still be backed by real estate equity so in the long run much of it will be paid back.

    Oh, my bad...I have 20 million 18+ US Citizens and it should be...200 million....I'm not sure where the email got their numbers from...the email lists our population around 301,000,000 and assumes that there are 200 million bonafide US Citizens 18+.

    The 2007 census estimate is 301,000,000 with 24.7% of them being under 18 so the 230,000,000 would include some non-citizens.
