    I was raised by my grandpa. He was a Southern Baptist pastor for over 40 years before he had a stroke.

    I have started to preserve his sermons by moving them from analog to digital.

    Here is an excerpt from one of his sermons. It's the first youtube thing I've ever done. I plan to get all of teh sermons we have recorded onto the pc and load them up onto youtube and link them to my website.

    Thank you.

    I'm very proud of him. I love him about as much as any person can love another. He took me in and raised me after my father died when I was a little child. He led me to Christ and taught me the way I should go.

    Proverbs 22:6 ESV
    6 Train up a child in the way he should go;
    even when he is old he will not depart from it.

    He was calvinistic for sure, but can't be described as reformed. He was evangelical and is best described as a biblicist. I don't think he held to limited atonement. I'm not sure though. Honestly he never spoke of calvinism or arminianism that I am aware of. But he said some very calvinistic things. He also said things that could be interpreted to go either way.

    I don't know really. His favorite preachers were C.H. Spurgeon and R.G. Lee. I think they had the most influence on him. He used the KJV Thompson Chain Reference Bible and the Pulpit Commentary a lot.

    He spent a lot of time in study and on his knees in prayer in his study. He was also very outward. He visited people a lot. He took me with him often to visit.
