gb93433: // Two years ago I submitted a paper for review and got the summary of the reviews back and was shocked. I felt as though the reviewers had no clue as to what I was talking about and that they were quite ignorant on the subject and a few other areas of the paper. //

    Yep, been there, done that.

Reminds me of an old joke:
(would it be more funny if I said 'An old Indian Legend'?)

A specialist expert knows more and more in one area. The specialist expert learns more and more about a smaller and more narrow area. The final result of the specialist expert is that they know ALL THERE IS TO KNOW about NOTHING!

A generalist expert knows less and less about more and more areas. The generalist expert knows just a little about many more areas. The final result of the generalist expert is that they know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about EVERYTHING!

Before I retired we were correcting very technical corrections to software (computer programs) with real-time applications (like the programs that fly pilot-less aircraft - smart bombs, drones, smart missiles). I was the Quality Guru so I went to all the peer reviews. But most of the people worked on such specialist expert level that they really had no peers. So we would have a specialist expert write the software, a requirements generalist expert check it to see if it met the requirements, a testing generalist expert check it to figure out how to test it, and a quality generalist expert to make sure the 'i's were dotted and the 't's got crossed. Oh yes, a scheduling generalist expert (AKA: manager) was there also.

There, a subject much better than posters undergarmets ;)

Oh come to think of it:

rbell: // ... fruit of the loom. //

I thought (wrong) that FTL in my briefs mean *Faster Than Light :saint:. What a let down :tear: when I found out that 'FTL' only means 'Fruit of The Loom'

Faster Than Light inspired by this song Baptists sing this song strangely called:

    I'll Fly Away!

I'll Fly Away! Oh Glory! I'll Fly Away!
Some glad morning when this life is o'r [ o(ve)r ]
    I'll Fly Away!
