    Hey Everyone -

    Some of you may remember in July 2006, my wife Kristi and I lost our daughter, Michal Lynn Rhodes 11 days before her scheduled due date. Monday morning, at 9am, my wife will go in for a planned C-section of our son, Caleb Rennon Rhodes.

    We are so excited! Gos has been merciful with this pregnancy, enabling Caleb to be VERY active during all the times we've been nervous. He is already a full-on personality... something I'm sure he gets from his mother. :laugh: I sure hope he looks alot like his momma, if not then he's going to start with a setback. But right now we're just thankful for his life...

    So far, all evidence points to his health, but we would be remiss to go into this without the asking of much prayer. I know this should probably go under Prayer Forum, but so many were there for us when Michal died, we wanted to share this with everyone possible. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

    Joshua - I went through subsequent pregnancies with 2 friends who had lost babies very late in pregnancy (one at 37 weeks, one at 39 weeks) and I know how difficult it can be.

    I pray for peace for you both that God will take care of Caleb and bring him in his full time to your arms healthy and happy.

    I pray for an easy delivery for your wife. C-sections are not a cake-walk but I've had 4 and they were very good considering.

    I pray that this baby will be a blessing to all who come in contact with him. That God will use him in ways that are beyond our wildest dreams for him. And most of all, that he would come to know Jesus Christ as his Savior at a young age and walk with him all the days of his life.

    I pray that Caleb will be born strong and healthy. I have a grandson named Caleb. My younger daughter lost a girl after carrying her nearly 8 months. Her name would have been Amber, and she would be in her late teens now.

    He's 14 now--------and I can't beat him in arm wrestling anymore!!!!!:BangHead:

    Remember, Josh--------he'll be a teenager before you know it-----and here's whats gonna happen--------the milk---you know---the gallon of milk your wifey came in from the grocery store with just this morning----its gone---empty-----a frizzlin' gallon of milk!!!!!! GONE!!!!!

    And you----you, Joshua Rhodes-------when you sit down to eat dinner or supper--------you----forget about "seconds"----your "Seconds" will be part of his "Firsts"

    On and on----------see????


    Anyway--------we pray for you, Brother Rhodes-----you and Mrs. Rhodes---God bless your excitement!!!!

    Well everyone -

    Caleb Rennon Rhodes arrived this morning at 10:37am.

    At birth he was 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and 19 inches.

    Both Mom and Caleb are doing well... and daddy is singing worship songs and praising God! We should be home from the hospital on Wednesday evening... thanks for all your prayers!!!

    Hey guys -

    We just found out that they're releasing my wife from the hospital today. They're going to hang on to Caleb for a few days... which means that we're going to have to hang around Waco for the next few days. I'm on my way back to Fairfield to drop off my mother-in-law with her ride, and then picking up a few things at the house before returning to Waco. We're not extremely worried, but given our history, we're "prayerfully concerned." Thanks for your thoughts and prayers... we're thankful that God's not surprised by any of this...
