I have asked for a critical eye in one of these forums on my web ministry CERM www.cerm.info and have been ignored.

Perhaps I was posting in the wrong forum until I found this forum.

Well anyways what do you guys say about my web ministry?

    www.cerm.info

John, you know that isn't true. You have been given lots of advice, particularly re: spelling, grammar, etc.

Yeah, there are several instances that I saw of poor grammer and spelling.
    One example was "Of coarse"

You might want to proof read that.
A speel checker won't catch "of coarse" because "coarse" is a properly spelled word, just not the one you were looking for.

    Just a couple of things.

    1. Your site bears more than a passing resemblance to www.carm.org. Your sites name, colour scheme, layout and everything all look very similar. I'm not sure if site design is in some way "copyrighted" but you may want to find a look that distinguishes your site from www.carm.org.

    2. When linking to Word/PDF's I would recommend making it known. When linking straight to another page it is fine, but when it is some file you should probably give a warning.

Number 1 was a concern of mine as well. It also could give people the false impression that Cerm is associated with Carm(because of the similarity in name and layout), and thus cause confusion.

Uncanny. I think it is pretty common as a new web designer to appropriate designs that we like. But to avoid any unpleasantness, you might want to look at some free templates or something. Then there is the possibility that it is a bizarre cosmic coincidence :)

Yeah, I use templates myself. I'm too lazy to do my own html even though I know the basic and am pretty good at it and can build on it if I so desired. But frankly, I don't have the time. Between my ministry on the net, my job, and other things, doing my own HTML coding and reading up on that would be far too much work.
