Just wondering who has a MySpace page. I don't, but then I am 37 years old.

My daughter does, and keeps up with it as she uses it to keep intouch with friends. Since she will be going into the Navy next year, I see this as a good way for her to keep in touch as well. Her screen name on MySpace is "No more merciful beheadings!" (from Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves).

I posted the wrong screen name... sorta.

My daughter's MySpace name/title is "Hello, no more merciful beheadings!"

How could I mess that up?

MySpace is a great place to network. We started using MySpace for grassroots campaigning for our film. It is also a great place to witness, as gekko mentioned. My husband is the one that set up the account and he maintains it, although I have access to it. His name is William, and his title is "The Most Explosive Films Ever Made", and the picture he uses is the first poster for our film.

It's not made for dating really, it's more of a resource to meet up with your friends online at one place. Most of the people on my myspace are people I know from school, church, etc. However, I did meet my girlfriend on there although she already knew who I was (lol long story but I'm in a band). We've been dating for 3 months now and it's a very good Christian relationship. However, there are people on there who probably do want to trick some people into stuff the same way they can do it with AIM or the likewise.

But for the most part, it's a fun place to go, find new local friends, talk to the ones you already have, find new local bands (my favorite), and I think that they're developing a gaming area. Also, it's a good place to blog.

IT's not myspace....but I like this way better since I pretty much have complete control over how the webpage looks and displays information.
I just made this up in the past hour or so it's not like an exhaustive (sp) page of my life

edit: opps I forgot the URL web page

WOW YOU CAN SAFELY POST FOR HELP WITH FILM PRODUCTIONS WITHOUT SOMEONE STEALING IT? I SHOULD TRY IT! Really, how do you keep those things in your control? Can you raise funds that way? What if everybody hates your work?

What exactly do you mean by film productions? That is a VERY broad term. All of our work is copyrighted, and although this does not necessarily mean it will not be stolen, we are in the final stages of post production. I would be careful about posting various story ideas on myspace or any other public forum, but it is easy to request cast and crew submissions. I probably would not use myspace to solicit investors, but it is definitely useful in building a grassroots campaign for publicity's sake.

I'm probably just not ready to launch a project....I want to do two movies on my anscestors...The Black Seminole and The Mascogos...but I haven't done ehuogh research to make a screenplay yet....so all I have are the movie titles....so anyone could already be taking them...Dreamworks already has stolen half of my ideas....so did Mendelson....

Ha Ha, spoken like a true screenwriter/director/producer! If I had a quarter for every time I heard someone in the film industry use that phrase I would be independently wealthy! [IMG] [IMG]

When writing your screenplay keep in mind that while research is important, a compelling story line is what will bring in your financing, actors, and crew (especially in the indie business where investors are few and far between).

Well a cast shouldn't be hard, I'm very close to the decendants of the Black Seminoles, and theres a lot of bustle now to get into the film industry in Oakland, several small theatres are bringing out a lot of potential local stars, willing to take on the next hit, no matter how independantly made. The storyline is fairly simple though if you keep to the biography, I mean The Seminoles are semilar to your average western, except they were incredible warriors when it came to working on the Mexican Border or further back during the three wars. I love to take in the specific details for....oh, so THIS is what a blog is....I should put it on myspace.....
