Is this really a politcal stunt from the right, or are there really going to be left leaning liberals that will join this move against the incumbant? If there was to be a take over in the DNC who would be the candidate? Hillary?

This is good news. Any leftist vote siphoned away from Obama is a good vote, IMO. In 2000 Nader probably caused Gore to lose the Presidency since Nader got almost 100,000 in Florida. I'd guess if Nader hadn't run in 2000, Gore would have captured the bulk of his votes which would have meant that Gore would have carried Florida and won the Presidency.

Ted Kennedy ran against Carter in 1980, so there is a precedent for someone within the incumbent's party to run against the incumbent. Yes, I understand that Nader is not in the Democratic Party.

Hillary has said she will never run for office again.

I dunno about this. If I were a neo republican (RINO) like many of you here I'd probably vote for Obama just because he's silenced the antiwar lefties. That way we could all sit back and enjoy our endless global corporate wars without commercial breaks! Got popcorn?

Poncho has it partially right. He says that there is no difference between between a Democrat and a Republican. Well from an outsider that might be true. That would be like a Catholic saying there is no difference between an IFB and a SBC. But as you examine it, there are many differences (and then you will see that the SBC is much better ).

Yes, there are differences between D's and R's, but the Nader group is so extremely to the left of D's to them the D's are just as bad as the R's. The extremest R's think the same way.

    Just my thoughts

No, there are differences between the D's and R's Salty. Republicans lie out of the right side of their mouth, democrats lie out of the left side of their mouth.

At the moment the R's and D's are fighting over who's going to be the banksters and corporitos favorite. Doesn't really matter so long as the banksters and corporitos get what they want. Does it?

Nader has rocks in his head if he thinks the dems are going give up on all that filthy luchre the banksters and corporitos are showering them with.

Long live the corporate fascist state. Pass me the butter will ya buddy? :)

Not since my heart attack. It's Smart Balance now.

Republicans and Democrats all feed at the same corporate trough now. So Nader does have a valid point. But he's still nuts if he thinks the dems are going to pull their noses out of it after tasting it's yummy richness.

Corporatism. It's all the rage in DC man!

You just keep telling yourself it's a liberal thing. Nevermind that mountain of evidence that proves seven times over it's a globalist thing.
