NASB Error?

IMO the word, "fame" in the context of 1 Kings 10:7 is incorrect even though in other context it may be translated that way.

Here are a few more ways the KJV translated the same word.

Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
Exodus 23:1 (AV 1873)


And it came to pass, when Laban heard the tidings of Jacob his sister’s son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and kissed him, and brought him to his house. And he told Laban all these things.

Upon further review, it looks to me too, that the best translation choice would be report.
I think the word is used about 27 times in the Old Testament and the vast majority of them could be translated report.

In the KJV we have two different Hebrew words being translated as "fame" our word here and a different word in 10:1. The practice of using the same English word to translate two different Hebrew or Greek words really obliterates the underlying word choices of the inspired writers.
