    Yes, I know its not exactly current news- but (that I'm aware of) this was the first I heard of it.

    At the NPB '10 Hillary Clinton spoke - part of her speech was ensuring equal treatment for homosexuals. From the link: " But religion, cloaked in naked power lust, is used to justify horrific violence, attacks ...religion is used a club to deny the human rights of girls and women, from the Gulf to Africa to Asia, and to discriminate, even advocating the execution of gays and lesbians."

    Uganda is trying to pass a very strict Pro-family (aka anti-homosexual law) and if they do several countries have threaten to withdraw financial aid to the country.

    There was one provision that many did oppose - the death penalty for homosexual - but that has been deleted.
