Are you very familiar with the Academy, and can you shed some light on what my professor told our class about today?

On the topic of "all faith chapels", she shared that Christian chapel services were mandatory into the 20th century, then optional and the chapel was partitioned to be used by the different faiths at different times in different days. Was this particularly controversial?
