It is just about Playoff time, but things in the Eastern Conference are not determined yet. Depending on tonights games the Bulls could be anywhere from a 5 seed to a 8 seed.

    If Bulls win

    • With a Wizards loss Wednesday, they'll be a 5 seed vs. a 4 seed (Cleveland)

    • With a Wizards win and a Pacers loss Wednesday, they'll be a 6 seed against a 3 seed (New Jersey)

    • With a Pacers win and and Wizards win, they'll be a 7 seed against a 2 seed (Miami)

    If Bulls lose
    • They'll be an 8 seed against a 1 seed (Detroit)

As as much as it pains me, I am pulling for the Bulls to win and for Detroit to beat Washington.

    Should be interesting...

    Amen

I predict the Mavs winning it over the pistons in the finals.

Despite my passing interest in the NBA, I'm actually looking forward to the possible 2nd round match-up of Detroit vs. Cleveland. Cleveland kind of reminds me of the Bulls in the late 80's with Jordan where each year they got better and better. Could be the same path for LeBron and the Cavs. But not yet. The Pistons will beat them in 5 or 6.

I am just glad the Bulls avoided the 8 seed. Seeing them get spanked by the Pistons would really irritate me. I think they can actually win a couple games against the Heat.

I am objective enough to say that I think the Pistons would have swept the Bulls. I don't expect the Bulls to knock off the Heat, but I think they can win a couple games.

Any first round upsets yall see coming?

I think the Pacers might win from the 6 seed.

As good as the Spurs are the Kings could shock the world. Or ... they (Kings)could drop 4 straight!

I have a friend who thinks Kobe is the greatest basketball player on the planet ... if Kobe is great lets see him beat PHX. now is the time for Kobe to prove just how good he is.

The playoffs are a grind - the matchup I hope for the the Mavs at the Pistons - if it happens, even though I am dyed in the wool MFFL (Mavs Fan for Life) I think the Pistons will win. I think that at this point the pistons are the best team. It will come down to injuries - the stars play more, and playoff BB is a rough sport.

I just hate that the Mavs are scheduled to play San Antone in the second round!

As an addendum to my previous comment - last year Miami wore the pistons down - dont see anyone in the east that will be able to do that this year. The Mavs route is much tougher - Memphis - San Antone - Phoenix. Ouch! Not a slouch in the group.

    Eastern Conference
    Detroit over Milwaukee
    Miami over Chicago
    Indiana over New Jersey
    Cleveland over Washington

    Detroit over Cleveland
    Miami over Indiana

    Detroit over Miami

    Western Conference
    San Antonio over Sacramento
    Phoenix over LA Lakers
    LA Clippers over Denver
    Dallas over Memphis

    San Antonio over Dallas
    Phoenix over LA Clippers

    San Antonio over Phoenix

    The Finals
    San Antonio over Detroit

The margin between the Spurs and Pistons was one game in the standings and pretty thin otherwise. That margin suggests that we're looking at a 7 game series. If so, Game 7 would be at Detroit, which suggests that I'd be crazy to pick the Pistons to lose Game 7 at home. I guess my lucky coin just doesn't like Detroit. ;)

I am not sure why they are wasting over a month worth of time when we all know it will be a repeat from last years final between the Spurs and Pistons. Lets hope the Spurs repeat again even though it will be hard to root against two former UK players in Prince and Delk. I have tickets for game 1 of the Spurs and Kings and predict Ron Artest's big mouth will be shut quickly.

I think that if an upset is possible it will come by way of the Kings beating the Spurs.

Agree with Jimmy C above. I still would rather have two healthy teams play. I want to know who the better team is!

I think Chicago over Miami would be more likely.
