Do you have anything you'd be willing to part with? I've decided to learn Russian and need to make it a second language by the end of next year for the purpose I have in mind.

Which isn't a job as a spy. LOL (it's for a specific place that wants me to work for them and is based in Russia but they don't know they want me yet. They will though, after I let them know...in Russian of course. )

Privit! Russian is a lovely language. You will be greatly enriched by your experience. I have found a few sources for learning the alphabet online, like omniglot. After you get that down, you can start learning better, because you can kind of read it. You might try youtube for free videos, and I'm sure there are some online phrase books for common phrases. Have you searched Amazon for language learning programs?

Check your public library. See if they have Pimsler or the Rosetta Stone on tapes or CD.

I didn't think of Amazon, they usually have whatever it is you're looking for.

Although the library would be awesome. If they don't have something they usually get it brought in from another library and since this is OKC, I'm guessing they got it. Rosetta Stone would be a beautiful thing!

I looked online and at you=tube but can't tell what is trustworthy and what isn't. When I finally found one that did the alphabet SLOW, letter by letter, and gave time to repeat it, there ended up being a note on it that two letters were switched and would soon be fixed, so I'm assuming it didn't come from someone I should be learning from.
