    Neptune News

It seems that Neptune has its own global warming problem supposedly caused by the sun.

The carbon dioxide producing humans on that planet must be doing a lot better job of heating up their planet than we are ours because they're a lot farther away from the sun.

Realising that this is a blog, and being anti global warning fear mongering myself, I wish I could see this from a true authoritative source so I could incorporate into my discussions with people.

Martian global warming has been verified, I would like to know more about Neptune's warmimg.

You could Al Gore's "blog" but that would be less reputable.

    C4K --

If you'll click on the link to the World Climate Report that's near the top of the page of the source I provided and scroll about three quarters of the way down, you'll come to a link for "articles." Maybe those will help.

Dragoon68 -- Just think how much Al Gore himself has contributed to global warming (and I'm not just talking about his own hot air) by jetting all around not only the US, but overseas as well, and then being driven to events in SUV's. At least he could cut down on the electric bill for his home in the well-to-do Belle Meade section of Nashville.

    Blessings to all!

    I believe in global warming.

    2 Peter 10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Just not the same global warming as they're talkin' about.

As I've said before, God will not permit mankind to cheat Him out of what He said He would do.

Global warming on Jupiter (http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/space/2006-05-04-jupiter-jr-spot_x.htm?POE=TECISVA) (USA Today, May 2007)

Global warming on Pluto (http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/pluto_warming_021009.html) (Space.com, Robert Roy Britt, Senior Science Writer, October, 2002); (http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/2002/pluto.html) (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, October, 2002)
[also mentions warming on Triton, Neptune's largest moon.]

Global warming on Triton (http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/archive/releases/1998/23) (Hubble News Release Number: STScI-1998-23, June 1998); (http://www.windows.ucar.edu/tour/link=/headline_universe/triton.html) (©1995-1999, 2000 The Regents of the University of Michigan; ©2000-06 University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, June 1998)

Global warming on Mars (http://www.realclimate.org/index.php?p=192) (Steinn Sigurdsson, October 2005)

Would appear 'global warming' is not confined to earth.

Uh, did anybody bother to read that article?
It clearly PROVES that 'global warming' on Mars is NOT
related to 'global warming' on Earth.

So does that mean the Martians have already started using wind and solar power?

I read this article from that page

//Recently, there have been some suggestions that "global warming" has been observed on Mars (e.g. here). These are based on observations of regional change around the South Polar Cap, but seem to have been extended into a "global" change, and used by some to infer an external common mechanism for global warming on Earth and Mars (e.g. here and here). But this is incorrect reasoning and based on faulty understanding of the data.

    ... //

So I said: // Uh, did anybody bother to read that article?
It clearly PROVES that 'global warming' on Mars is NOT
related to 'global warming' on Earth.//

    To which C4K asks:
// I trust that this is in jest?//

To which I now say - I jest not in this matter.

    Victim of Global Warming

Here is a video that explains warming on Mars we took on our last vacation
    [IMG]

And here is one of the liberal legislators of the Martian Congress doing a victory dance after passage of the MEPA (Martian Environmental Protection Act).

Worrying about warming here on earth is one thing, but are we supposed to concern ourselves about the Martians problems too?

But seriously. If Global warming is taking place here on earth, wont life on earth slowly adapt to the changes in the climate? Do we really think that we are going to inhabit this planet indefinately? Is this ole' earth you final home? I love clean rivers, litter free highways, I have even pulled my car over to the side of the road to help the endangered gopher tortoise across the highway here in Florida, but I just cant manage to get myself all worked up over something that we have no control over. The earth may be warming a little, but dont worry, it will ice up again.
