It didn't used to but I'd rather not fly now if I can help it.

Me! Me! Me! I am so excited! I have been dieting,
and I am going to have potato salad! We are
going to picnic at a civil war reinactment. I have
never attended one before. It ought to be real
interesting way up North! I asked my Asian
daughter-in-law, who moved to the States when
she was a little girl, if she was a Confederate or
a Yankee. At first, she said she was a
Confederate, but she said she was teasing me.

    What are you doing Monday?

[IMG] Abiyah [IMG] I have missed you!

I am making potato salad, frying chicken, making a raspberry luncheon salad, kidney bean salad, deviled eggs and two pies (haven't decided which kind yet). Having some family over for a picnic! It's supposed to be beautiful here.

    How is your diet going?

8oD Thank you for asking, and thank you for
missing me! (I got behind on my studies for my
up-coming bat mitzvah and had to hit the books.
I am still behind 3 hours.)

My diet is going real well. I have slowed it down
some, because I was getting very tired, and I did
not want that to discourage me. I have lost 18
pounds, and am very close to my first of many
    goals (4 more pounds).

I have learned to like sweeteners, enjoy all the
raw fruits and vegetables, enjoy eating more fish,
and learn to get along without beef.

Speaking of beef, I had an amazing experience
yesterday. We had gone to a restaurant recently,
when I told my husband it was time for a treat: I
ordered a steak. It was AWFUL!! But it was the
    norm for my area.

So yesterday, I wanted to have a REAL steak --
just once! I went to Outback and ordered one to
take home, so I could continue studying. As I sat
there, I could nno help but notice that most of the
people I saw entering and leaving were very large
people -- so large, that they made me feel quite
thin. Some were obviously uncomfortable; some
looked so unhealthy that it was scary. It made me
    rethink wanting much beef.

I had some of my steak for dinner and some for
breakfast. I had to cut a LOT of fat off it. Oh, well.
8o) A lesson learned! If one's choice is to be
thinner, be careful about the eating, even the
    treats.

Have you ever been to a Ccivil War reinactment?

(Yes, Abiyah. I attend one in our town every year. It is really neat!)

    Plain or milk chocolate?

Not sure what you are asking but I like both of whatever. [IMG]

Have you ever been to a Balloon Fest?

I've been to one at Houghton College a few years ago - we've seen Mark at Gaither Home Coming Concerts - We had him at our church before he was famous!!

No - and its strange - because there are two at two different locations within 25 miles of us - each year.

Any one going to have macaroni salad tomorrow?

No not here. We have hashbrown casserole on the menu.

Do you prefer crushed ice or cubed?

(Dan, you need to go see one. We have one in our town every year and it is so awesome to see 40 balloons in the air at one time and yes, I'm having 'sweet' macaroni salad.)

Cubes. Crushed makes the glass sweat faster.

    What is your favorite pie?

Ice cream: yes! I like vanilla, made with real
vanilla beans, then I break up heath bars into it. I
do not like the Heath Bits they make -- not the
same; the chunks of broken Heath bar are much
    better.

My present vehicle is a '93 Corsica. I love it. It
takes a beatin' and keeps on kickin'. Bought it
from my chosen father for a very generously cut
    rate.

I love to travel if someone else is driving, and they
    are a good driver!

If the animal was not destructive and could live
in your house without a problem, what fantasy
    animal would live with you?
