ALBANY, N.Y. - New York's newly minted governor says he had affairs with several women, including a state employee. The admission comes a day after Gov. David Paterson was inaugurated and disclosed at least one extramarital affair to reporters.

I am not defending this action, but I seem to remember this type of thing going on in the "Red" states too.. :)

I think it's more likely that people are just bad.. We have been bad from the beginning. It's just starting to show more and more these days in my opinion.

Save the ones we can... God help the rest!

Last year I began sleeping with my church clerk.

She had been my wife for 15 years at that point but just became the church clerk!

It is a shame that in today's political atmosphere, a politician feels compelled to have to discuss his private life and relationships. In other words, who cares?

I believe that the personal life is important. A man has no respect if he cheats on his wife; than he will have no respect for the voters.

The government requires a financial statement from candidates (not just those elected) to ensure there is no monkey business.

A mans past performance IS an indication of how he will preform in the future.

Now on the other hand, I do consider the time element. If a man had a shady past 20 some years ago, but has for, say, the past 15 years, lived a life above reproach; I will consider that he has re-earned trust. If it was brought out that he cheated intentionally big-time on last years income taxes; that would be cause not to elect him and / or initiate appropriate action.
