In my church, people use different versions (not different Bibles) -- some use the KJV, some the NKJV, some the NASB, some the NIV, etc. and we still have unity. That's because our unity is in Christ, not in a particular bible version.

The reference to 1 Cor 14 is taken entirely out of context with that remark. I Cor 14 has to do with the confusion of misusing the gift of speaking in tongues. There is no Biblical support for confusion caused by using different versions of the Bible and I do not see that confusion in my church or others where various versions are used.

If these cultists used the KJV, the KJV did not destroy them, but they destroyed themselves by using the KJV.

With the conquest of the British Empire behind it, it crossed the Atlantic to the United States. Landing here it overwhelmed the double foothold of the Roman Catholic Church planted previously under the flags of Spain and France.

Leaving aside the Gipper's KJV-as-superhero rhetoric . . . I guess you have to live within walking distance of Quebec, as I do, to appreciate how truly funny the above is. Half of the place names in that province are saints' names; there are wide expanses of Quebec with no evangelical presence of any kind.

    Yeah! GO KJV!!!!

Kidz:The following is from Sam Gipp's The Answer Book.

Kidz, you really, REALLY need to sit down with a desk full of reference books and a PC and begin to evaluate the veracity of The Gipper's statements for yourself. I say that because I've ALREADY DONE THAT, but you won't believe it hearing it from me or a like-minded person. However, if you do it for yourself, you'll soon see The Gipper's writings are full of misinformation.

Just start with his brief history of the "New World". See how accurate his "facts" are. Then, look up his "Alexandrian" stuff.

Do this on your own, then, come back and tell us just how accurate The Gipper's "Answer Book" is.

I'm hure Askjo's answer will be different, but mine to him is, "Wisdom is justified of her children".

Ed may soon be adding to his "double standards" hit parade......

Just as the KJVOs destroy their own myth with their private application of Psalm 12:6-7, eh?

OK so, it's the improper use of the Bible which destroys them.

    I agree.

</font>[/QUOTE]So when KJVO's misinterpret and use verses out of context, what do expect the results to be?

They expect it to be right. Don't believe it? Just ask Jo.

    Gottcha!

---023 - Even if you make a mistake understanding the KJV1769 (AKA:
KJB) you are right; but even if you correctly understand the MV you are wrong.
