Hi,

I thought some people here might be interested in a new book that Bunyan Family Books just published entitled Dakota Martyrs: The Story You Never Heard. It's the story of the first non-Roman Catholic missionaries who came over 150 years ago to what is now called North Dakota.

Of special interest to Baptists is that the first Christian missionary to be martyred in the region was an ordained Baptist minister. After he was killed, his fellow missionary, who was not a Baptist at the time, then journeyed 500 miles by foot in the winter, with his wife and child, to be baptized by immersion.
