I guess it's quite an old-fashioned idea now that a company hires employees who are qualified for the job they must do, and skilled in that area. Now one has to agree with the comapany's social ideas as well...

In the meantime, my daughter came home from school today furious that the homosexual group at the school was not even reprimanded for writing on the walls of the school, that they were able to put bulletins in the paper about their meetings, and that if anyone referred to anyone in class as 'gay' or 'homosexual', it was considered harassment. However, she, continued, their Thursday morning prayer meetings could not be noted in the bulletins, and it was perfectly all right for people to called her a Mexican and 'beano,' or an Oriental a 'chink' or to refer to such things as "Oh, he is SUCH a Christian!" in dripping sarcastic tones. All of that is tolerated, and much more. But the homosexual kids are not only tolerated but actively protected.

    It disgusts both of us.

Over the years I always purchased Kodak films. They were usually 400 ASA color, and 36 exposures. With two of our children growing up, and now three grandchildren, we took a lot of pictures. My wife and I like to travel and in doing so we take a lot of pictures again to remind ourselves where we were. For some time now I was wondering to change from film to digital. I liked the quality printing of the film, the grain on the prints, and I never thought that I could ever switch over to something different. But this story, which I have read in the links provided is enough for me to shake my head in disbelief and go digital. A company who employs such leaders as Kodak does not deserve my patronage, and I feel ashamed to be associated with them for so many years. I shall indeed forward this thread to my email contacts, and I trust that they will do the same. Thanks Informer for the heads up!

The injustices you've spoken of Helen, are certainly that. And they should be pointed out and fought against, of course. One question - is the gay group a school group? Okay, two - are the prayer meetings sponsored by a school group? That would be important in determining whether or not one group is being giving preferntial treatment in its publicity.

Anyway, as terrible as it is that the name calling your daughter has to deal with is not being called out by the administration doesn't make the protection of gay people against slurs wrong. The school shouldn't tolerate any slurs against any group.

Perhaps the reason gay people get the tolerance they do is because they fight for it. However right or wrong it is, the groups that get attention paid to them are those that are vocal.

In 1992 my stepfather and I started a stone refinishing company. The company and work went well and I left to start a church, but would still act as a working consultant from time to time. My oldest son was trained and started working in the company and worked his way up from being a helper to project manager ($33.00 per hour). My stepfather's health declined and he sold the company to his daughter (corporate lawyer) who is a lesbian. We both left the company with about 4 other Christian men.

    No Kodak for my family.

Bartimaeus - and if the company had been sold to a glutton? To a rich person who refused to give all they had to the poor? To a gossip?

Obviously I don't think homosexuality is a sin, but even for those who do why single it out in such a way. Those of you who are willing to boycott Kodak over this. Do you boycott Nike for exploiting children in Southeast Asia? Do you boycott Gilette becasue it tests its products on animals? Do you boycott Exxon because of its careless destruction of Alaska wildlife?

These are broad, intentional acts of great harm. Do they matter as much to you as Kodak's decision (for which we don't know the mitigating factors - this guy sounds like an arrogant jerk and this probably wasn't the first time he acted like one) to try to create an inclusive workplace. Mind you, not inclusive of this fellow's rude and uncivil behaviour; but rather a place where diversity is not ridiculed.

Josh, I can't find a shred of logic in any of this. It almost sounds as if your saying "Hey, everyone sins so stop picking on the sins that I like" Do you rip pages out of your Bible? The ones you don't agree with? Who exactly do you think you are disagreeing with God? You've exalted yourself to your own god because you constantly reason his authority out of your own tiny human perspective.

Was Jesus rude and uncivil when he went into the temple and trashed the money changers? He was filled with righteous anger and he did the right thing. Sounds to me like you've already placed your stamp of disapproval on Rolf because he is willing to call something what it was.

Rolf was actually quite reserved in his reply by Godly standards...you see if God were to reply it might sound something like this...

"Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah-from the LORD out of the heavens"

Given that Homosexuality is a sin, and the Holy Spirit always ministers to us about such things, you must either really struggle with him in this matter, or you don't struggle at all...because the Holy Ghost doesn't minister to you. Which one is it?

That's EXACTLY the problem with Kodak. Diversity IS ridiculed by their action! How can they teach diversity when they themselves DO NOT believe in it.

Post-it, Thats easy - Only the saved have the mind of Christ. The unsaved are still lost as can be despite however moral they might be. Furthermore, not all sins are equal in the eyes of God. Those who know Christ closely are Highly offended by sin because we know that such things are responsible for nailing a close friend of our to a cross. That friend is Jesus.

1 Cor 2 15-16 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment: "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

John 19:11 Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin."

Proverbs 6:16 There are six things the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to him

The article above was written by Kyle Williams who is 13 years old, home-schooled and lives in a rural community in America's heartland. His column title, "VERITAS," is Latin for "truth."

Let me see if I can put it so you will understand, post-it.

If my neighbor wants to eat cow patties while wearing his wifes panty-hose, that's his priviledge! If he asks my opinion of same, and I give it, I'm not judging, discriminating, or persecuting, just answering his question. I personally don't want to know about his weird fascination & if he would just "do his thing" in private, then I ain't gonna bug him about it!!!

Same with the homos; if they would just SHUT UP about their abberation, they could do their thing in private til the cows come home for all I care! Just DO NOT THROW IT UP IN MY FACE AND SAY THAT I'LL BE FORCED TO APPROVE!!!!!!!

Why do they need everybody's approval if they're so convinced that it's "NORMAL"? Why do they have a "COMING OUT" unless they NEED society's approval??? If they are so concerned that there be no "discrimination" just SHUT UP about their deviancy. If nobody knew, nobody would care! Seems simple enough to me.

Once more, just in case I haven't been clear. "ATTENTION ALL HOMOS: PRACTICE YOUR DEVIANT LIFESTYLE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS!! DON'T THROW IT IN MY FACE AND EXPECT ME TO BE APPROVING!! AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!!!!"

In all likelihood, nobody is going to know unless it's PURPOSELY advertised. I used to see hundreds of people every day (before retirement) and if there were any homos I didn't know it. Why? Simply because they (if there were any) didn't see fit to proclaim it. Now how hard is that to comprehend?

If one were to give me this little bit of choice info about himself, I would see that as a cry for help; what other reason could he have except hunting approval? I would then teach him God's words re: the subject.

Can I, just one more time, restate the basics to the homos? "SHUT UP ABOUT YOUR PERVERSION, AND I CERTAINLY WON'T BOTHER YOU!!"

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=29429</font>[/QUOTE]The left wing attack on Christians and the right is in fact so ingeneous and is working so well that I can see right through the visible facade to the the unseen puppet master - Satan. Let's not forget this world is a spiritual battlefield.

    Ecclesiastes 10:2 NIV
The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.

KJ version - A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart at his left.

If the Holy Spirit speaks so loudly on social issues, it's amazing that so many baptist slave-holders never heard such insight. Likewise the impenetrable wall of white baptist ministers who supported segregation.

Does it concern you at all that your litmus test for the authenticity of someone's faith is their agreement with you?

Well, they are. Eewwwww. Think about it. Gross!  [IMG]
    Spew.

And the Bible says what they do is an abomination even though "certain people on here" want to clip out those parts of Scripture and pretend. (won't mention any names, though  )
