He probably wouldn't have. But when one bad and blatantly missed call changes the course of the game, and possible outcome of the game, then???

With Stoll sprawled all over the ice, and the other players expecting a call, Lidstrom had all kinds of time to shoot. It was an easy goal.

Righhtttt... a missed call like when a thrown stick prevented Zetterberg from scoring in game 2. There were 19 penalties called in the game. The Oilers had back to back 5 on 3 power plays and failed to score, the Wings would have won even if Lidstrom's goal was disallowed.

Besides some sources say that Stoll went down after hardly being brushed to try and draw a penalty.

Dallas is still alive and played game 4 like the Stars that I am used to seeing. THey play 3 more games like that and they can advance.

    Go Stars!!

I was very disappointed in the Stars in the first three games. It's still rather doubtful that they will win the series as only two NHL teams have ever won a series after being down 0 - 3.

But maybe the Stars will pleasantly surprise me. [IMG]

Oilers defeat the Dead Wings 3-2 [IMG]
The series is the same: 3-2 in the Oilers favor.
If the Oilers win on Monday the Wings should be dead indeed and golfing for the rest of the summer.

Dallas played a heck of a game and were the better team in the 3rd and overtime but they are going to be watching the rest of the playoffs on TV :(

Wow! The number 1 and number 2 seeds in the West are gone in the first round.

Care to enlighten us why you think that? Especially since it goes against what every prominant person in the sports media says!

Edmonton has an untested goaltender that will fold under the pressure of the playoffs. Chris Pronger is a liabilty as well as he never does well in the playoffs. I just don't see enough offensive firepower in the Oilers to match Detroit's.
</font>[/QUOTE]The Oilers take it in 6! final score 4 to 3.
    Not a bad prediction eh?
What do you have to say about Pronger and Roloson now? :D

My boys have been sent packing. They waste the NHL's best home record. Marleau was unreal. San Jose is going to be a tough out.

Turns out we DID miss Vokoun :( Then again, I missed our offense even more :(

I have hope that we'll be back. But boy this year could've fallen just the way we wanted. What a wild year. The better teams in the West from the regular season cannot hold serve.

Oh well...at least the Red Wings won't win the Cup ;) I guess I'm rooting for Carolina since I like keeping the Cup in the south [IMG]

Thanks, Pastor...it was an old timey photo taken in Durango with my musical group.

My Avs are down 2 games with big goose eggs...now they get to go home and hopefully redeem themselves at Pepsi center.

I am an avid hockey fan, and also a dedicated Broncos fan. You will see me this year in here.

    ;)

We have another discussion entitled "The Second Round" for the conference semifinals in the NHL. How about we move the discussion there to keep it all together?
