Got any NLT owners on here?

I've just recently purchased the NLT Study Bible and love it.

My first experience with the NLT Bible ... I was reading the KJV and NIV before, but this by far my favorite translation now.

Excellent Bible for small group studies

It uses clear and plain language without much theological jargon

I don't use it in the pulpit but certainly I've enjoyed it for personal reading.

I agree. I used to give away primarily NIrV's to Korean Christians who wanted a readable English version. But lately I have been giving away the 2007 NLT to some individuals. Just last week I gave a lieutenant one after he complained that the NIV uses too much old-fashioned English.

There is a woman at church who is more of a KJV/ESV user. I gave her a New Living Translation se. I'm still waiting for her review.

I haven't given up on the NIrV though. As a matter of fact that is the version that I have used primarily this month for myself. It's a neglected treasure.

I use the NLT2d ed -- along with other versions. It helps to clarify some passages.
