    White House: No matter what, we're sending Gitmo prisoners back to Yemen

    As Susan notes below, a bipartisan group of lawmakers is urging the Obama White House not to go forward with plans to send a number of Yemeni terrorists now being held in the Guantanamo Bay detention facility back to their home country. But the Obama White House insists it will continue to send those Gitmo inmates to Yemen -- a country now recognized as a hotbed of terrorism so dangerous that the U.S. has decided to close its embassy there.

    and what does he intend be done with them by sending them back home? certainly they will not be held acocuntable, no, they are to be freed by sending them home.

    What gets me is the "no matter what".

    Can the Obama administration really as hard headed and blind as that?

    It sets a new low for the inability to handle matters of national security.

    How else can the Obamanites close Gitmo to make good on Obama's campaign promise?

    They should have been kept at Gitmo, tried by military tribunal, promptly executed if found to be terrorists, and sent back home if not. It that had

    I understand, but he's broken so many other promises that I fail to see why this one matters any more than the others.

    Perhaps because it fits in with his agenda to handle foreign terrorists as American citizens, who are every day criminals?
