This is another instance of bearing false witness.
I was having a conversation with Joseph, and you interjected something into a discussion that was directed at him.

It's right here in this discussion for all to see.

You really don't know when to quit, do you?

BiR, what was it that Jerry Falwell said on Sept. 22?

JB, obviously Mr. Falwell says things he regrets on a regular basis, but 'heretic'? Come on!

According to JB, flip a Red State to the Blue and it's over, plain and simple. So my theory is, let's run Clint Eastwood for president, get California's votes and watch the Dems weep. Hahahaha!

This is a link to MediaMatters, criticizing ABC News and their coverage of Falwell's comments.

Rudy Sets His Effort Into Motion

Giuliani takes step toward '08 bid

    By DEVLIN BARRETT, Associated Press

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, a moderate Republican best known for his stewardship of the city after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, has taken the first step in a 2008 presidential bid.

The former mayor filed papers to create the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee, Inc., establishing a New York-based panel that would allow him to raise money to explore a White House run and travel the country....

The former mayor is a moderate who supports gun control, same-sex civil unions, embryonic stem-cell research and abortion rights — stands that would put him at odds with the majority of the GOP conservative base....

In 2006, the Giuliani brand remained strong. He headlined fundraisers for Republican candidates nationwide and his travel has done little to deny 2008 ambitions....

Giuliani enjoys strong name recognition and a recent AP-AOL News poll conducted in late October found that among Republicans Giuliani was essentially tied with Condoleezza Rice and McCain on who they would most like to see elected president in 2008....

If he runs as a Republican, his candidacy is DOA.

    You think so?
I think he has a lot of political clout, and more of a national appeal. On the other hand, I think he is a little too liberal for many conservatives to tolerate.

    BiR,

I think that Rudy stands a decent chance of winning the GOP nomination in 2008. I don't see conservatives rallying around McCain. At this point I really don't see a really good conservative candidate on the horizon. I would like to see Congressman Mike Pence run but it is hard for a congressman to make much headway in a presidential nominating process.

I wish that Congressman Ron Paul would run, not that he would have any chance of winning the GOP nomination, but so that he could participate in the GOP debates and get limited government ideas inserted into the GOP conversation.

At this point, I don't think it will matter who the GOP nominates as they will essentially be Democrat Lite. Hillary is going to win because there will not be any true conservatives running against her.

If Rudy can get through the primary he will make it into office. He will get a lot of Dem as well as Rep votes.

Not if the DEMS are correct and this past election victory for the Commies was all about the war. Don't forget that Rudy was for the war.

True, but Rudy is viewed as a good leader and has very liberal views. He will take key states that are normally Dem and Rep will be loyal to the party. he will get votes from both sides.

I don't see it as Dem being against the war as much as it is an idiot that knows nothing about war is running it. Next thing you know this fool will invade NKorea.

Paul has the curse of having to tell unpleasant truths. No one loves him, except his constituents.

IMO, if it's Rudy vs. Hillary, Rudy wins.

Of course, I don't think Rudy'll make it out of the primaries.
