NY Governor gives illegals OK to drive

    Gov. Spitzer referred to the opponents of his order as "rabid right demagogues."

    What a bloomin' idiot.

    Can we give NY to someone? Anyone?

    Maybe the UN will take the rest of the state. Just give the normal folks enough notice so they can move to the US.

    Sheesh.

    If an illegal acknowleges they are illegal are we not obligated to take legal action?

    How do we have an illegal person go to a state agency and say their illegal and we say, "that's ok, sign right here".

    Just another democrat!

    Does it surprise anyone?
    No wonder the sensible people are leaving the democrat party in droves...

    As most know, WV is considered a very democratic state, but I know plenty of people who are now ex-democrats here in WV...

    Most are Christians that cannot agree with the Democratic ideals of Baby killing, homo marrying, illegals taking over, idiotic platform of what used to be the party for the people....

    HUH!

    It is no longer a party for the people, but a party for the destruction of Christian ideals in America...

    Has anyone ever wondered why the ACLU backs Democrats?
    Why does NOW back Democrats?

    OH, I just figured out something...
    Since US citizens are leaving the democratic party... they may try to get these illegals to vote for them!

    Am I being facetious.... yeah, probably...

    But I am sick of idiotic politicians doing crazy things like this....

    Then Christians will still vote for them just because they belong to the same political party...

    Christians that put their political party above Christ will pay in eternity.

    OK, I am done ranting now.

    I think both parties are working to legalize illegals. The republicans wanted to make them register and pay a small fine and all would be good. I think this would be thumbing our nose at the many who currently wait on the long list. It is like saying you can come in the backdoor and pay a fine and bypass all the wait and paperwork. Both parties have different motives for legalizing illegals but the outcome is the same.

    I thought illegals voting was already introduced and was happening in some places? I will have to google that???

    I think sometimes it is the lesser of two evils. I agree one can't conquer evil with evil but I don't think either party is 100% Christian ideas. Matter of fact, even we Christians don't always agree on our ideas. Each party chooses a cross section to represent which means neither has a pure agenda. I know how you feel, I feel the same about a candidate who get's voted in office then votes against their morals just to support their party.

    And if you go back and read my post, no where did I mention that republicans were any better!

    That is why I vote for the person, not the party...

    In New York State major cities (Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, ect) have a DMV operated by the state. Theses offices work directly for the state and "must" do what the Governor says. However, in the rest of the state; counties operated the DMV office. Several county clerks have stated they will NOT issue a license to anyone not providing proper identification. Since these clerks are employed by the county and not the state, the Governor is NOT their "boss" So the only way the Governor could force them to break the law would be to go to court. This action has already been mentioned by the Republicans in the senate (republicans control the senate) They are also in special session this week, with the possibility of making such action specifically illegal. But the Democratic controlled Assembly is not secheduled to return to Albany to take action.

    One last thing. Gov Spitzer when he was the Attorney General (of NY) would not have hesitated one bit to bring legal action against a large business for hiring illegal aliens,(he was known as the tough AG against those horrible big business who would walk all over the common man) but now wants to give those same illegals a drivers license. Go figure.

    On Lou Dobbs last night he gave a list of those powerful people from NY who oppose the Gov on this...

    I didn't see Hilary's name there.

    Does anyone know her stance... or does she have to take a poll first?

    Yeah, that's what I figured...
    She backs the Governor but doesn't at the same time...

    Sounds a lot like something Kerry would pull.

    And she is worried the illegals will get shipped back?

    SHIP THEM BACK! They are here ILLEGALLY!!! For pete's sake.

    This just disqualified her from the presidency... she has no respect for immigration laws, and a person that doesn't respect the laws of the US, doesn't deserve to be president!

    But of course she will say she doesn't support the Gov... just...,

    "So I know exactly what Governor Spitzer’s trying to do and it makes a lot of sense, because he’s trying to get people out of the shadows. He’s trying to say, “O.K., come forward and we will give you this license.”

    Which is Clintonesque for "I'm a full blown liberal, and want to spit on the hard working Americans by allowing people to remain in America illegally and take their jobs, be supported on welfare, and do whatever they want."

    When she moved from Arkansas she didn't move far enough away... She should have crossed a border!

    A person that thinks Governor Spitzer makes "A lot" of sense is a person that is warped!

    Lets use that same logic for other criminals:


    Lets just get the child support evaders out of the shadows. Lets give them their DL back as well as passports and get them working.


    Of course that block of people arent large enough to make adent in the elections so they do not get special consideration.
