I have long believed that the job of Commander in Chief of the US Military is not a job for the faint hearted. In fact it is not a job for the average citizen. This man must make life and death decisions that most people, in my opinion, are not prepared to make. I realize that I am not. That being said there is something disturbing about reports of Obama's role in the drone strikes that supposedly kill terrorists in Pakistan. The New York Times describes it as follows: http://rt.com/usa/news/drone-strike-obama-casualties-604/ The Times article goes on to explain that President Obama is incredibly instrumental when it comes to targeted drone strikes and oversees counterterrorism operations involving the unmanned aerial aircraft so much so that he says who can and can’t be killed. To Newshour, Shane said, “Instead of wanting deniability and wanting to keep at a distance from this lethal program, he actually wanted to be very much part of it.” According to that Times’ report, it now makes a lot of sense why the commander-in-chief has never condemned the continuing strikes. I have noted repeatedly on this Forum that as a State Senator in Illinois Obama fought against a bill that would protect aborted babies born alive. That fact, coupled with the above revelation on his role in terror strikes, raises serious questions about the mentality of Obama. I had this thought in mind when I made the following observation on another thread: He [Obama] has the same mentality as Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin Dada, Mao Tse-tung, etc., etc. I concede that I am hyper partisan, especially when I see what Obama is doing to the country. However, the above is very disturbing, particularly given his arrogance, his obvious dislike of this country, his reaction to any opposition, and his propensity to ignore the Constitutional restrictions on his power.
