Has anyone heard about Obama's speach to planned parenthood where he said the first thing he planned on doing is signing into law the Freedom of choice act? Which in effect would allow partial birth abortions, allow mothers who give birth in hospitals to deny food to their children and hospitals would have to stand asside and watch the child die. ETC....? Are we becoming the modern day version of Germany 1933?

Nationalizing the banks was a huge step towards that end.

Obama says that he wants to reduce the number of abortions, but he supports FOCA, which will undoubtedly increase the number of abortions. There are a handful of states with FOCA type laws already in place, and all of them have seen an increase in abortions, whereas just about every other state has seen a decrease in abortions due to gains made in parental consent laws, etc. The pro-life movement has been successful in decreasing abortions when it is given a fighting chance, but if FOCA is passed, all of that will be negated, and we will see increased abortions all over the country.

So is Obama lying when he says he wants to decrease abortions? Or is he simply misinformed on what FOCA legislation will actually do?

He'll probably take credit for reduced birth rates.

One thing that comes to mind......

Andrew Jackson succeeded in paying off the national debt. But there was a severe depression that followed for more than 6 years, and in the first year, the national debt increased by almost 1000%.

==The Freedom of Choice Act is a immoral piece of legislation. I don't know if President Obama is still planning on pushing that act or if it was just one of many campaign promises. My gut tells me that we are going back to the status quo of the 90's in regards to abortion (not good). Mr. Bush did not do enough to end the holocaust of the unborn in this nation. That is one of Mr. Bush's biggest failures as a conservative in my opinion.

At the end of the day, however, abortion is a moral and not a political problem. People kill because they are children of the devil (1Jn 3:11-15). Abortion will be banned when Christians, and others, are more effective in getting the truth out. What is that truth? Abortion is murder.

For now, we need to make sure that lawmakers of good conscious work to block any attempt by Mr. Obama to pass the Freedom of Choice Act. I pray and hold out hope that Mr. Obama's pledge was just a campaign promise and nothing more. After all, throughout the transition period he has been more moderate than I thought he would be.

I agree its time to start speaking with our representatives for those who haven't as yet.

I was reading another article about if FOCA was passed that the Catholic Church would close down all their medical centers because they would not want to be forced to do such things. Now I had a question wander into my mind with this whole comparison with Nazi Germany thing... What would americans do if Obama does exactly this the Catholic church puts a large strain on our medical system because they close down and Obama (remembering that the Catholic church told its people not to vote for him) decides to persecute the Catholic churches? What would all the other denominations do? What would you do? What would happen if Obama declared Catholics as enemy of the state closed their churches confiscated their property and imprissoned priest and laity? What would america do?
