    Obama and the Law
    by Thomas Sowell

    EXCERPT

Senator Obama has stated very clearly what kinds of Supreme Court justices he wants-- those with "the empathy to understand what it's like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old."

Like so many things that Obama says, it may sound nice if you don't stop and think-- and chilling if you do stop and think. Do we really want judges who decide cases based on who you are, rather than on the facts and the law?

Just on more splinter that will snag the masses that try to play on Obama's sliding board; that will go unacknowledged until it's way too late to repair.

Obama wants "change" and this is an example of what he has in mind for America. We could expect an assortment of executive orders and court appointments from him and plenty of legislation from a friendly Congress. Once in place these "changes" would likely never be reversed except by a completely new start.

Makes me wonder if he can actually take the oath of office to "defend the Constitution" when he so openly advocates violating one of it's most basic tenets.

Understanding the condition of the poor people and deciding cases on that understanding are not the same thing. Do you want judges who only understand the white upper middle to upper classes? You want to keep those poor people down where they belong, right?

I want judges who decide cases on their constitutionally legal merits without regard for the economic or social status of the individuals involved.

Obama doesn't and it seems clear that you don't either.

Nice personal attack in violation of BB Posting Rule 4. Carpro did not say any of the things you are attributing to him here in an attempt to paint him as a racist and a class warfare elitist.

    No problem.

    Just consider the source.

He has no reasonable argument to present, so personal attacks become the order of the day. It's to be expected.

Why? abuse your moderator status by intimidating others???

Are you trying to bully and intimidate because you are a moderator??? then you should not be a moderator, you are acting heavy handed and frustrated because you constantly lose debates about being a warmonger for God.

Do you have a coherent statement to make on the subject at hand?

You can make your personal attacks by PM or reporting your objections to an Administrator.

Now ,YouTube, I assume you are in favor of judges deciding cases on empathy instead of the law.

    So make your case.

No personal attacks, moderators should close this thread because

A moderator is being heavy handed and is trying to intimidate BB he is the one that started it and was off topic , the mods should close this because one of the mods is threating another based on false claims, BB did not say anything close to what he Bboy was saying.

Bboy is clearly not fair minded and is an idealouge that has blinded him.

Um....moderators moderate. It's kind of a "root verb" thing.

Youtube, why not address the OP? I'm sure you have pertinent comments.

Is empathy, or knowing and applying the US constitution more important?

Does that mean you want judges who decide cases based on the constitution, unlike Obama?

Who licked the red off your candy???

You'd best get back on your meds, and lay off the coffee for a spell until you calm down.

I think his problem is that he just can't deal with the subject and wishes to lead the thread astray.

    With limited success.

Do you have a comment concerning the subject of the OP?

If we don't feed the trolls, they tend to go away.

I believe you were oversensitive on this comment. I have seen much worse go 'unwarned.' I did not see it as a personal attack at all. Perhaps it could have been worded better however.

Neither Baptistbeliever or YTCBS should be here, in the first place.

    My opinion on the BaptistBoard.

I would say people that call others warmongers and the like there is a 90% chance they were never in combat, or for that matter, served in the military one day.
