The free ride that half of America has had for so long is now so normal that to suggest anything else seems like an outrage to some.

Everyone seems to be so in-tune with the idea that only half of America needs to pay for the operation of American government that supports all of us.

Why? Because we have been told so? Can we not think outside of our trained mentality long enough to consider that every American owes their government? For some reason, is there something in this world that says that half of America should pay for the other half?

If you pay federal taxes and drive down the Interstate, do you get a better ride? A shorter trip? Movies and music with the ride?

For those who don't pay those taxes, is the Interstate longer and bumpier?

If you pay federal taxes, is your home safer from foreign agents than those who don't pay them?

Our tax system is broken. This progressive tax system was set up to buy votes and support from those who don't pay into it. It has gotten so far out of hand that some of them actually get a check written on funds that they never deposited into.

Now that this horse has been so long out of the barn, we forgot that we even had a horse.

I have to admit, when President Obama said, "I've kept the 1st Lady waiting long enough" I thought, just for a second, he was speaking of Hillary and that he had kept Bill Clinton long enough and was ending the press conference.

I was just stunned when he walked off and left Bill Clinton there to defend his (Obama's) policies. It was surreal. The symbolism is breathtaking.

I can't think of another instance where a sitting President has turned the Presidential podium over to anyone other than the official presidential spokesman (i.e. Gibbs). There may have been joint news events in the past, but I can't think of another time when the President left and someone other than the offical whitehouse spokesperson took questions.

This is, IMHO, an epic blunder on the part of President Obama that will be talked about for years. It may even be seen, in retrospect, as one of the major events in his Presidency.

    peace to you:praying:

Now there was a heavy weight & I think he was governor of NJ. We Jersians must have something in the water concerning fat boy governors. Have you seen Chris Christy? I personally liked Teddy (Bully Boy) Roosevelt.

There are also those who will never admit anything their messiah does deserves criticism.

I was disgusted by the zero putting Clinton up. But hey, the left does love it's disbarred criminals.

This whole "Making Work Pay" argument is silly. People making less than $20,000 don't pay any income tax anyway. What you are really trying to say, Ken, is that those people won't get free money now.

(oh and welcome back Curtis! :) )
