    Babies are never a punishment!!!

More WRONG theology spewing from this worthless politician.
God never punishes people with babies...
Unless He is punishing America with this guy!

Apparently, he sees kids as punishments...
He is sounding like the racists that say kids from mixed marriages are punishments... I wonder if there is a deep issue that he has yet to resolve.

But when you support abortion, it only comes naturally to begin seeing innocent babies as punishments...

Don't worry Barack, your daughters are already punished by having you as their father!

    God help America.
We have forgotten 9/11 so much that we are on the verge of electing this jerk.

You have the right to disagree with my opinion.

But I have a right to believe what I believe.

Hey I agree. Anyone that goes bowling and bowls only a 39 really shows his jerkiness. In this case Tim he is one of these enablers of a murderous craft. A true jerk. God help us all if this man is our next President. :praying:

    AMEN, Bro. Tiny, Preach It!!

Statements like this continue to prove to me what he truly believes. He'll never have my vote, nor will any other pro-abortion candidate for any office anywhere, at any time, period! (Is that clear enough?)

DH and I caught that on the news the other night and both looked at each other and said "A baby is a punishment??"

    Just too sad.

His true beliefs are coming out...

Do people truly think babies are punishments?

What a sad condition our country is in.
What a sad fact that Christians will vote for him...

A person that devalues life doesn't deserve the highest office of this land.

You are right. The punishment is upon this country in that one of these two amoral power hungry pigs is going to get the Democratic nomination. Does it really matter which one, as whoever wins the nomination has a good chance to win the election? It is hard to see where one is worse than the other. As much as McCain has been bashed, and he is not the ideal candidate, maybe we need to ask mercy from God for his victory.

Well, I guess what he means is that babies are punishments for those who forget to practice "safe sex", or have sex outside of marriage, or fornicate in a New York minute and get knocked up.

So, in reverse, he is saying he is better, more spiritual, more moral, more virtuous, more Christian, more upright, than many among his American countrymen who make "mistakes" and get knocked up and then chooses to have the baby (instead of aborting them) and then have to raise up a baby they can't afford, or wanted in the first place.

Now, because he turned up a "good boy", his parents did not get a punishment for a baby, but a blessing, even though they eventually broke up and divorced and went their separate ways (did I get that life story right ?).

I emailed his senate office, by the way.

Told him about a movie I seen years ago, when I was about 12 or 13, titled "Blue Jeans", and a pair of high school kids who got "all human and made mistakes and the girl got knocked up" and the boy's father worked things out so the boy got "off the hook", and how the boy actually defied his father and faced up to his responsibility.

Told him that high school kid had more sense than he does.

Hope he actually gets to read the email.

His words do seem pretty shocking, but to me, worse than seeing the child as punishment, he seems to want his daughters to be able to sin with no consequence.

If you're a 16 year old girl who is unmarried, a baby is something you're not prepared to deal with. I don't agree with abortion but this person needs a lot of support just to make it.

As long as yer idea of "support" is punishing the people who do choose to wait, and actually make something of themselves , be fore raising a family. People need to learn to live with the consequences of their actions, and to say the folks who do things the right way need to support those who don't is more than a little insulting.

I could say I was surprised that a pastor twists the truth like you do Tim, but I would be lying. I have become accustomed to it here.

Obama never said that children are punishment, that is only your twisted interpretation of the video, but so much for the truth.

Tim got it exactly right. I wouldn't have used the word jerk but the fact is that Obama has equated getting pregnant with getting a STD. Somehow to equate getting pregnant as a punishment wreaks of a warped sense of ethics.

That's not what he said either. Can't any of you right-wingers get it correct?

Obama said that for his child to be pregnant would be devastating to their lives. I have heard baptist preachers say pretty much the same thing.

It's alright to disagree with Obama and not support him as a candidate, but at least don't lie about what he says and twist everything he says.

Short extracts like this may or may not be misleading. If what he said is what's been alleged then I agree it's more proof of his standing on abortion. But, if it's not what he said, then I don't want to perpetuate a lie. I would like to read a full transcript of the conversation to make sure I understand what was said in the full context in which it was said.

There is no context in which this statement could be more acceptable.
