Roger, keep up the good fight here. I guess your thoughts and history on the subject does not mean as much since you do not live here currently. Sad.
    Love your signature as well.

This is the whole point. The article in the OP had nothing to do with the president halting drilling in the west - at all. Rather than admit the error the author of the OP went on the attack and tried to divert from the fact that there is a false implication.

If this thread was about oil drilling or coal mining the points might have been valid - the the article was about oil shale development and mining which has nothing to do with the price of gas at the pump.

I find it sad that Americans who do not live in America are not seen as worthy of posting about these issues.

I have made my point. The facts are clear. The title of this thread is deceptive and misleading. The president did not shut down drilling out west. He approved less land than expected to study the development of oil shale as a fuel source. Those are the facts apart from emotion.

I will submit to the moderator of this forum who has ruled that American citizens living outside the US points are not valid. I see no reason to continue. You just can't win some discussions.

Facts are nasty things. They refuse to change when we find them uncomfortable to our pet beliefs.

Yes, the OP selected the wrong topic and then tried to weasel out of his/her mistake.

Frankly, in time I think we will have to outlaw fracking.

A leftist should never mention facts. Their facts, like their truth, is whatever advances the cause.

Still parroting the socialist line I see Crabby.

Roger, I want to apologize for offending you and hope you will accept my apology. :flower:

Your wife is very blessed to be married to a sensitive man. The world would be a better place if more men had that quality. :flower:

There are some topics on which we will never agree, and I accept that.

    Am closing this thread now.
