Obama signs showing up in Canada

    Oddly, this past week a host of Obama election signs have shown up in windows and on lawns in the capitol city of Ottawa. There are lot of Americans living in the area.

    The CBC radio to-day knocked on some doors and interviewed the people. They were Americans who voted away from residence (or whatever you call it) and they were Obama fans. There wasn't one McCain sign, except a little kiddie had a McCain bumper sticker on his little peddle car in a park. He was not flocked by reporters.

    Would you expect anything different from Americans who voluntarily live in Canada?

    Besides, I would guess a McCain sign in Canada would be an invitation to violence.

    Be assured that I don't speak for either side. I try to say out of American politics. I just found it amusing that these signs popped up here. Many of these people work with the Embassy and American owned companies. A few were spouses of Canadians.

    I've found the Canadians to be a very friendly people, not nearly as subject to violence as many Americans are. I don't understand where you get this idea.

    Are you sure they are Americans?

    Maybe they are Canadians that went to Ohio, registered to vote as a homeless person, gave a park bench as an address (allowed now by state court), voted without an ID and then came back to Canada.:smilewinkgrin:

    Do you think any Americans vote in Canadian elections?

    I saw an Obama bumper sticker on a car at the Cliffs of Moher (Irish west coast) back in May :).
