    From the article...

Mr. Feinberg, founder and managing partner of the law firm Feinberg Rozen LLP, spent several years overseeing payouts totaling more than $7 billion to victims of the 9/11 attacks. He personally reviewed every claim, approving or denying awards and allocating sums to be paid out of the Treasury.

Is this the guy who made the 9/11 victims and families sign a waiver barring them from suing the government, it's agents and the airlines before they could receive any money?

The families of victims in the plane crashes at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and in a rural field in central Pennsylvania had until Thursday to notify the U.S. District Court in Manhattan whether they would file lawsuits or sign a government waiver forgoing lawsuits in exchange for guaranteed compensation. The minimum federal compensation is $250,000 for deaths, though many awards could top $1 million.

    SOURCE...

    Must be.

It seems that the O believes that all authority resides in him. We have seen that he is using ways to circumvent the Congress (not that they would object to most of his actions) thus becoming the first de facto American dictator. He is already running the car industry, banking industry, and insurance industry, and will soon have the medical system under his control. In the guise of "Special Masters" power is being quietly transferred to the White House.

I think of Lincoln's speech wherein he addressed "government of the people, by the people, and for the people". When quoted today, emphasis is often placed on "of", "by", "for". I believe that emphasis should be placed on "the people" thus reinforcing the concept that it is the people who possess the power and authority in this nation. Sadly, too many seem willing to surrender that power to an all powerful government in return for a "pie in the sky" promise of cradle to grave entitlement.:tear: When people are willing to surrender some of their freedoms, it will not be long before they lose all of their freedom.

Perhaps the pay czar could limit the compensation of Congress in the same way. All of their money comes from the government - IOW our taxes.

I am wondering how long it will take for the duties of the pay czar to expand into equal pay for equal work.
