Obama said he won in response to Eric Cantor trying to puff up his chest and speak down at Obama. I don't blame Obama for standing up for himself. He let them know he won't be bullied.

Tax cuts won't fix this problem. Bush cut our taxes for the last 8 years which is when we got in this mess. What makes you think more tax cuts will get us out?

That's a pretty creative telling of the story from what I have read. Obama was standing up for himself. He doesn't need to. That's the kind of petty politics that start messes. Obama is guilty. He should not have said it. It was immature, arrogant, and hopefully his aides will help him out on this. 4 more years of this and we are going to be in worse trouble.

But spending was the problem. Not tax cuts. If you remember history, in 2000 we had a recession, the dotcom bust, the housing crisis was blooming, and then came 9/11. Things were ugly. But the Congress spent and spent. It wasn't tax cuts that was the problem. You know that.

Because it puts money back in people's pockets. If you, today, cut the income tax rate and put more money in people's checks, people are going to spend that money and the economy will improve far better than the way Obama is going about it by passing money out to his friends.
