I suppose you'll deny this, yet again (despite your words betraying that denial)...but I sure do grow weary of your calling our soldiers murderers.

    Despicable.

    To any and all!

It is not my fault that O'bama has a god complex. Neither is it my fault that some on this Forum are obviously overcome by his charisma.

Fortunately there are a few on this Forum that recognize that he is simply the product of the Daly political machine and the racist ranting of Jeremiah Wright.

That he is, but your charges of a 'god complex' are exaggerated. You have given no evidence that he thinks he is a god.

    Just as it should be.

"Messiah", when used in reference to Obama, is used as a prejorative making fun of his cultic following that thinks he will "save" them...

    from themselves.

And he's spending trillions of taxpayer dollars trying to live up to their "faith"...

    in him.

According to our prime minister, Mr. Obama presented himself as humble, knowledeable and determined to see his country go forward through this difficult time for both our countries. He was co-operative and congenial all the time he was here. He opened his office door for Mr. Harper to come to America anytime. Mr. Obama said he would like to return with his family, and I say, welcome back anytime, sir!

    Cheers,

    Jim

There you have it, folks! An anti-Obamanite publicly admitting that anti-Obamanites have spoken in a blasphemous way by misusing the word "Messiah" that should only be used in reference to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Aaron the only difference I see in the principal elements of the 2008 election and the above list is that O'bama spoke in a more restrained, almost pontifical, voice. He is now a little more strident as he declares "the sky is falling, the sky is falling".

Messiah simply means "anointed one" and you O'bamamites have certainly anointed O'bama. With what I don't know. How long will it before you give him the title "divinity" or he declares himself the "living god of Egypt, err America"?

About the same time as he takes the oath on the Koran.

This kind of total disrespect for the president is scary. No one has given any evidence that he considers himself a god, yet this kind of stuff keeps getting flung about here.

Are we going to see any proof that the president thinks of himself as deity - or just this kind of unfounded attack?

Its the same thing we saw in the campaign - this guy has plenty to criticise in his policies and politics without reverting to silliness and the silliness detracts from the real problems President Obama brings to Washington.

To the cry baby Republicans in this thread:

You are reaping what you sewed for the last eight years. You are the direct and immediate cause Obama was elected President.

You tolerated and turned a blind eye to a President and Congress that promised conservative principles and governed like a drunk liberal, ineptly at that. You did not hold their feet to the fire for eight years.

As a result, millions of conservatives stayed home three months ago. Does it enter your thick heads yet? Republican and conservative are not synonyms.

Start all the threads on Obama you please. It is your fault he is in the White House. Until you learn how to elect a conservative leader, you will be on the side lines forever.

Roger---I believe it isn't the idea that Obama declares himself a god or a messiah------the trouble rises in his wake-----those who are clinging to his "robe" as that woman clinged to the Lord Jesus'

Keep your eyes open---it isn't himself---its his followers

How disparaging to the millions of Americans who voted for the President.

blackbird...you must not read OldRegular's posts very often then. For the past week or so he's been obsessed with saying that Obama has a "god complex". In this thread he has said:

Perhaps the following will give you some insight into the adulation that some people hold O'bama and why he might have a god complex.

President Obama topped a new Harris interactive poll that asked 2,634 Americans who they admire enough to call a hero.

John Lennon once claimed the Beatles were more popular than Jesus. Now President Obama has evidence that he's more popular than both.

Obama topped a new Harris interactive poll that asked 2,634 Americans who they admire enough to call a hero.

Jesus came in second on a list that includes God, Mahtma Gandhi and George Washington.

Other historic or notable figures making the top 10 were Martin Luther King Jr., Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, Abraham Lincoln, John McCain, John F. Kennedy, U.S. Airways pilot Chesley Sullenberger and Mother Teresa.

Participants named the heroes randomly instead of being shown or read a list of people to choose from. The poll was conducted online between January 12 and 19, 2009.

At the 16th spot in the poll, George Washington, Bill Clinton and Colin Powell tied.

Other politicians who made the poll's top 25 include Hillary Clinton (12), FDR (13), Condoleezza Rice (12) and Sarah Palin (21).

God ranked 11th, between Mother Teresa and Hillary Clinton.

Of the multiple reasons participants gave to explain their choices of heroes, the ones most cited is, "Doing what's right regardless of personal consequences" with 89 percent, "Not giving up until the goal is accomplished" with 83 percent and "Doing more than what other people expect of them," with 82 percent. Also popular were "Overcoming adversity" and "Staying level-headed in a crisis."

In the first Harris Poll asking this question in 2001, Jesus came in first, followed by the Rev. King, Powell, John F. Kennedy and Mother Teresea.

Obama joked last year at a roast that contrary to rumors, he was not born in a manger but on the planet Krypton. Apparently, Obama is even more popular than Superman, who didn't make the cut.
