Actually, what I described is democracy. What form of government do you support?

Not sure why you asked me but I support our current form of Government in the United States of America which is a Republic.

Do you know the difference between a Republic and a Democracy?

    America is not a Democracy.

    Where and when ?

No, perhaps you could source it, and explain how it is different from Charlie Rangle introducing legislation to re-instate the draft (notice the detail in my post) then voting against it. Thanx, in advance.

Were you obsessed by Romney, a few years ago ? You sure did throw a lot of threads up.

It bothers him because he is like MSNBC in that he doesn't want anyone discussing the truth about Obama.

We're not talking about "rubber stamping." We're talking about their ONLY objective is to oppose everything Obama proposes. Democracy can't function in that kind of environment.

If you are going to make false accusations about repubs you should at least know what kind of government e have in America. That you you do not look completely foolish.

Of course. Why did Bush keep talking about spreading Democracy to other countries. I guess he didn't understand the difference.

Republicans should oppose him considering everything Obama proposes is designed to destroy the Republic!

Seriously, do you even know the difference between a Democracy and a Republic. Have you ever said the Pledge of Allegiance?

How much debate was there regarding Obama's failed attempt to Socialize the medical care system? None! And the idiotic democrat leader said: "We have to pass the law to see what is in it!" The country is seeing just how bad the law is and how dumb the democrats in Congress were to pass it!

No, I prefer an honest discussion of the issues and a concensus.

Our current form of government in the United States is a corporatist oligarchy.

That would make you a supporter of a corporatist oligarchy, not a republican form of government. In a republic the individual's rights are protected by the government by way of a written constitution, in a corporatist oligarchy the government usurps the individual's rights and steals his wealth to benefit a small group of corporate elite's.

A corporatist oligarchy is not a democracy either. Democracy is rule by majority, in the US we have rule by the few, an oligarchy. To be precise a global financier/multinational corporate oligarchy.

So would I, but it seems the "other side of the aisle," the Democrats, are more interested in establishing Marxism than they are in actual responsible governance.

I don't know if you think about it both parties have found common ground in fascism and authoritarianism.

The real sticking point is neither side wants the other to have all the power that they've worked so hard together to consolidate in the executive branch. They both want to have an eventual dictatorship, they just don't want the other side to be in control of it.

This is what I prefer. I prefer elected leaders (Congress, President and Vice President) be leaders who follow the Constitution. This has nothing to do with left-right, or liberal-conservative. I prefer candidates that have a heart for serving the American people instead of robbing us daily, and making their goal in life the next election and being self indulgent slobs with power and tax money. I prefer leaders that are honest, and do the job they were elected to do, and that is govern, not play political games.

I would prefer that the American people turn out every Congress person, Senator, and too late for the President, but start over. After they are defeated, I would have each one investigated for high crimes and misdemeanors. Upon conviction, everyone of them would be in a pen run by the famous Arizona sheriff, with chain gangs and chopping rocks.

The problem is that the Dems definition of 'cooperation,' for a long time now, is 'Republicans going along with what we want to do.' Anything less is 'obstructionism,' and 'no ideas,' even when the Repubs DO have detailed alternatives, and even when the House has actually passed them. Add to that now that we have a President who has proven definitively that he cannot be trusted to enforce even laws he wanted passed, and it's hard to see any basis for genuine 'cooperation.'
