..."If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you've got a business --- you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn't get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet." ...

..."I'm always struck by people who think: 'Wow, it must be because I was just so smart.' There are a lot of smart people out there. 'It must be because I worked harder than everyone else."...

So now...what part of this does not say that business owners did not build their business?

Of course, this was spoken as if it were the gospel truth by a man who has always lived on somebody else's dime and has never even run a lemonade stand or signed the front of a paycheck. What he knows is "not American."

To expound: Here's what no one has mentioned in all of this discussion:

Our forefathers came here and chopped down trees and built homes and businesses without government help by the sweat of their brows and by the scars of their own hands. There was no King and no Central Planning from Big Brother to help them chop down those trees. Towns were built. Churches were built. Schools were built. Colleges were built. Town squares lined with businesses were built, from the tinsmiths, apothcaries, silversmiths, blacksmiths, coppersmiths, teachers, brick layers, general stores, and more. There was no government help. All of this was done by a people who were still under British rule, long before 1776. Oh, perhaps the crown contributed some finances, but by and large, merchants sprung up, communities sprung up, not from the help of the Crown but by the blood, sweat, tears, ambitions, and dreams of our forefathers.

If Obama was truly an American, raised with American values (instead of with Communist/Islamic values), he would understand that. Whether or not he was born in this country is still a matter of debate. But he was not raised as an American and certainly not educated as an American in his early formative years (but educated in a madrassa in Indonesia), and eventually, when he did live in Hawaii, he was mentored for years by Frank Marshall Davis, a Communist Party member, suspected by the FBI to be a Soviet spy.

He is not one of us and that has nothing to do with the color of his skin. Because he is not one of us, he doesn't not understand what it is like to be an American, what the American dream is and how generations of Americans have fought, bled, and died for that American dream for their children and their children's children. Obama's concept of America is based on a prejudiced view of America and by his actions as president, he has proven that he hates all that America has stood for through our history - and that is why he set out to "fundamentally transform America" the country his wife was never proud of, into something to which he was brainwashed (through the Communist influence throughout his life, coupled with the anti-American black theology teachings of Jeremiah Wright) to believe what America should be.

That is why he has trampled the US Constitution, shoved his socialist programs down our throats (obamacare), infringed on religious liberty, and supports the slaughter of the unborn. That is why he has circumvented the US Constitution, has driven us nearly into bankruptcy, has not created jobs, and more - because his perception of America and Free Enterprise and Individual Freedom is colored through a distorted lens - the history of America is not real to him, only something he read about in a book, but not lived. You have to have been raised as an American to understand what it is to be an American. And he was not.

The things we take for granted from birth, freedom to make individual choices, freedom from the encumberances of government, freedom to worship and speak and bear arms, and more - those are instilled in us as Americans from birth and we are raised with those values, those rights. If you haven't been raised with that, it is foreign to you. That is, I believe, one reason he tries to divide us - divide and conquer us, to reshape our nation into his ideal of collectivism with him (of course, due to his narcissism) being at the helm.

I still believe he is a muslim but even if not, socialism, marxism, and islam are all sides of the same coin. He and his ilk are dangerous and evil.

That's my take on it, anyway.
