Nothing is more intriguing to me than watching someone try to justify a stupid decision (not you, CTB...the Einstein that tried to explain the "thought process" (that's a laugher) behind the peace prize).

My favorite quote: "We have on many occasions tried to enhance what many personalities are trying to do.”

Translation: "Our goal is to be as irrelevant as possible, and become a caraciture of ourselves. How are we doing so far?"

    You're doing great, ig-nobelites.

The ill fated decision of the "Old Europe" Marxists was an obvious attempt to influence Obama regarding Afghanistan and one more attempt to make the United States a second rate power like the countries of "Old Europe".

You get an F on modern history. There are no European Marxist left. There are dictator wannabes in Russia, but not Marxists.

Even Hitler was nominated for the NPP.

If Obama had a shred of decency , he would refuse the prize. But his ego won't let him. I have no doubt he believes he deserved it.
