I sincerely hope you have been reading the book "Doctrines of Grace" by Dr. James Montgomery Boice (who dedicated the last remaining months of his life to writing the book/ he was dieing of cancer/ to convey important information to human kind that he considered vital to every Christians understanding & was assisted by Dr. Philip Ryken (President of Wheaton College) ... it is reading for every serious Christian.

    Blessings

creation/nature is natural revealtion, and people can see and know God exists, and is very powerful and creative...

we MUST have special revelation though to get to God as being Love/wrath/judgement/justice etc!

Also need to have the Holy Spirit convict the sinner of their sin, to open them up to be enabled to receive jesus and get saved!

the church/bible/gospel does NOTHING for those who prefer to remain in their sinful ways and in the dark, but to those whom god has chosen to save in christ, they are the means by which God brings them to get saved by Grace..

its God at work to save and redeem His chosen in jesus....

Some err in this, as they would seem to hold that ALL will be convicted, and that ALL would be able to get saved!

the basic assumption of those holding to non cal election sems to be that God has called ALL sinners to be saved, to have ALL with same opportunity afforded them to accept jesus!

Anything else to them would be "unfair"

Let me ask. Does the following factor into the equation at all?

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

What is so important about the following verses and what does it have to say about the free will of man? Is this done at the return of Jesus the Christ to sit on the throne of his glory?

Rev. 20:1-3 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled:

I also wonder why this last part is done? and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Do we have a picture of 1-3 in the OT anywhere?
