I know the names of some celebrities these days. But there are a number of young ones that I had never heard of until I looked at some lists carrying their names.

I will list some contemporary celebrities and pair them with those of yesteryear. Sometimes I won't mention a person per se. There is no particular order here. I'll put the modern name on top and the older one below. Some younger BB'ers may not recognize the older names.
