Hey y'all, I was hoping y'all could lend a brother a little help. Just a few minutes ago I was checking my email. I opened one up, not a attachment, just the main one. To my shock up popped a pornographic photo. I am mad to put it lightly. I am adult and put a spam guard on it and blocked the address, but I am concerned about the kids that probably got that same email as I did today. I reported it to yahoo, but is there a governing board in the government I can report this to? Thanks

I think with yahoo you can report spam, but all in all not much you can do about it I think.
I haven't looke din to this site, but heard a man from church talking about it when we all in the same van, might help.

Yes, with Yahoo you can report spam, but for me it doesn't seem to work; the same spammers keep coming back time and time after time.

FearNot, we had so much problem with it we ended up changing our email address. We have DSL with one company, Baptistmail for our web-based email (no spam, no popup ads), and do keep a hotmail account to put on registrations and such so if they sell the lists we aren't bothered by it. We can just erase the entire list from time to time.

As for the computer-generated junk, if you change your email name so there is a number in the middle of it, you get a LOT less. Others use underscores or parentheses or such and that helps derail computer generated material as well.

    God bless.

I recommend that you download and use mailwasher

It allows you to delete e-mail before downloading it, bounce e-mail back to originator and automatically remove offensive e-mail.
