Travis Ford, who played college ball at UK and coached at Eastern KY, will take the Oklahoma State job, leaving UMass, just days after Ford turned down the head coaching position at Providence.

So much for Okla State and Marquette being able to get better coaches than IU.

Well, I never said Marquette could. I do believe OKLA ST could have. I think they settled. I am not sold on Travis yet.

Speaking of IU, more trouble for IU. Word is that IU may have "tampered" with letters of intent, and that it could spread all the way up to the A.D.

A storied program is being sullied, and we're now seeing that it could be more than just bad hiring.

As of 8:30am CDT, I find no mention of this story on either ESPN or CNNSI.

I have looked all over and find nothing about it. I try to stay up to date on all the IU happenings.

The biggest news from IU yday is that a big time player for the 2009 class committed to IU, but nothing about this stuff.

Rivals.com was reporting it via their subscription service. That's where I got it. I heard it on a talk show here locally as well. I hope it's not true.

I don't think it's true either. The BooYah network would have been all over a story like that.

I agree. Something of that nature usually makes headline sporting news and you see nothing about it whatsoever on ESPN, Fox etc.
