    I have decided to age gracefully - so I'll not be trying Grecian Formula anytime soon.

    But in the interest of scientific research - I think that Dr. Bob should try the stuff and report back to us the results!

    Dan - what little hair I have left - is turning gray!

    Jim,

    Do you think that your mother-in-law is old yet?

    Dan, from the propensity to triple post, I was thinking of a pain DOWN a little lower than the neck. [IMG]

    Dan, I have a sister older than my mother-in-law, and I don't dare call her old. She would have me for dinner on a platter....aka Jim the Baptist

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Brother Jim, just look what happens when we turn our backs on these children! They are calling us old. Don't they know that the operative word is not old but better?! [IMG]

    Now Dr. Bob, if you really want to know what the older folks were called before the time indicated.... they were called folks with the hoary head. Now you know! [IMG]

    Now I haven't heard hoary for awhile. For Dr.Bob's benefit,,that just means white hair.

    Cheers,

    Hoshea the prophet had it right

    "[He] is not separated from the heathen;
    He is like a pancake not turned over;
    His strength is sapped, but he doesn't realize it;
    His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he doesn't notice."

    Pretty good description of a nation gone to pot.

    Or to an old guy, gone to pot . . belly.

    I knew what hoary head meant. It means GRAY hair, not WHITE hair. I read my BIBLE!

    "The glory of young men is their strength, and the BEAUTY of old men is the GRAY head."
    Pro. 20:29

    "The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness."
    Pro. 16:31

    "Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD."
    Lev. 19:32

    Try the ENGLISH language where it means either grey or white, but generally the white. Who asked for your opinion anyway? Kindly stay away from my posts.

    When the young men in my Sunday School class begin to tease me about my bald spot -

    I kindly remind them of the Old Testament prophet who cursed the young men picking on him about his bald spot -

    And the she-bears came out of the woods and tore them apart!

    Dan - it's not beneath me to use threats!

    Jim,

    I can only assume one of two things:

    1. That you robbed the cradle when you married your wife, or

    2. That you were an un-planned blessing - seeing that your sister is old than your mother-in-law!

    (Side story - my late father had three siblings 18, 20, and 22 years older than he was! -- He definately was an unplanned blessing.)

    Jim - one last snide remark before I regret picking on you - I know about how old you are - cause you've told me in the past. I'm thinking that one would have to be mighty hungry before they would eat a tough old bird like you! [IMG] [IMG]

    Dan - I hope people can tell when I'm picking on them!

    Dan, I would never consider picking on you. Yes, wife is considerably younger than me. Funny thing. I was driving mother-in-law to a meeting last week when a woman driver hit the car from behind causing a four car queue. The constable looked in and asked if my wife was ok. I had to tell him that she was not my wife.

    If us old birds are so tough why did they always send young missionaries to the canabalistic mission fields? Just a thought!

    Cheers,

    Jim
