Jesus tells us who real Christians are supposed to be
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations …
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you …” Matthew 28:19
Jesus commanded them to make real disciples: not just believers, not just born-again people.
These real disciples will observe “all” of Jesus’ commands!
There is only one type of true Christian, and that is the true obedient disciple.

What are the blessings of these real disciples of Jesus?
    Ephesians 1:
3 … who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world
5 having predestined us to adoption as sons
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins
11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him
who works all things according to the counsel of His will,
13 … you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession …
    Ephesians 2:
1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins
5 … made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved) …
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

However, before everyone starts jumping up and down with glee, let us note …

Exactly WHO these precious promises are directed towards
    Ephesians 1:
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,
to the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Examples of warnings to remain faithful
    2 Peter 2:
20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of
the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome,
the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.
21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness,
than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,”
and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”
    Hebrews 6:
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift,
and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,
5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,
6 if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves
the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.
7 For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful
    for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from God;
8 but if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.

Why are believers given the Holy Spirit?
To teach them, and to sanctify them unto holiness and perfection.
If this isn’t accomplished, everything was a waste of time.

10,001 quick and dirty posts ... congratulations!

I suppose you mean predestined and elected comes first,
as in ... God has seen it all, the end from the beginning.

Yes, He has elected whom He knows will be faithful.

All of the glorious promises are directed at them, but ...
not at the tares, the goats, the foolish virgins, the unrepentent, the unforgiving, etc.
who are sitting in all dem comfy church pews.

    Jesus instructed:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations …
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you …” Matthew 28:19

    >Yes, He has elected whom He knows will be faithful

    Then what does this mean?

    Deuteronomy 10:17
For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

First, I'm talking about a different covenant ... the Lord Himself rejected the first one.

Second, there are lots of verses saying God knows men's hearts.

Americans ... please note what the plural of heart is, and please note the plural of life is lives.
