Do any of you use Online Brand Bible software that can be downloaded free from online.net? (Not .com or .org) It is only found at ".net".

I know they have many of the MV's locked because of royalty fees, which is fine, but even the free material seems to contain a LOT of versions, dictionaries and resources (both Biblical and non-biblical).

Just curious. I do not know who owns this site or anything about the software, but was quite amazed at the amount of free software and versions you could download (if you fit in my category of "not exactly anywhere close to being rich"). :D [IMG]

If it is the same group... I bought "PowerBible CD" and "On-line Bible Millenium" from them.

I like it but the "On-line" is more difficult to use. It also has the better stuff.

Online Bible dates back to the days of DOS 3.3. Back then it was a KJV w/Strongs freeware program distributed on 6+/- diskette. I first got a copy on 6 3.5 diskettes.

These brethren are well worth our support. It was their help that the first Strong's format concordance was developed for the Russian Synodical Translation (the version of record for the Russian language).

I was given a copy of PowerBible CD, and I love it. It is just so confounded easy to use.

I agree Bill. E-Sword is, in my opinion, the best there is.

I paid for the NASB unlock also. Being able to study the KJV, NKJV, and NASB side by side has been a great blessing.

Ed, I didn't include the "bible" part on the website, I was more worried about the "net" part I guess. Anyway the entrance to the download page is here, sorry:

    http://www.onlinebible.net/

Check out the downloads: The program itself is free, many older versions free, and many dictionaries and other things are free. Some of the newer stuff is locked because they have to pay for royalties.

That's why I like it, it is free and I can't afford an expensive software set.

You can find the Vulgate in Latin along with a Latin dictionary. The LXX, the AV1769, etc. etc.

It really is easy to use if you are computer literate, which I know you are. [IMG]

Yes I have used it and I think bible.com or bible.org also has online bibles. My only problem is that I am still using a dial-up which is a little slow. I have to because I use it at work and at home and they give me a special rate to use both.

I also like to know I have the software in case the net service is ever discontinued.

But, these are just my opinion. I would imagine there will always be Bible search programs on the internet.

Thanks, I will bookmark it and no doubt use it.

Just downloaded e-sword. It looks good, and I really liked finding the Geneva Bible there for free.

I use e-sword & Bible Gateway, as well as keeping a NKJV, KJV, NASB, NIV, & replica AV 1611 handy while making these posts.

Guess what, KJVOs? I can stack'em all into one pile & they don't fight!

Online Bible is superb! Several years ago I called a number, I believe it was in Canada, and requested a CD. They mailed it to me with a bill of $40. I paid the bill and have enjoyed it ever since.

I got mine from Barnes and Noble bookstore. If you do a yahoo or google search, you can find many places to get one.
