At 1 Samuel 2:13, the 1769 Oxford edition of the KJV has this rendering "priest's custom."

The 1846 KJV edition published by the American
Bible Society has this same rendering as does
the 1853 edition by the same publisher. A present-day edition of the KJV published by the American Bible Society still has this same rendering.

This ABS edition of the KJV may be the only present KJV that keeps the 1769 Oxford's rendering at 1 Samuel 2:13.

I have found another present-day KJV edition printed in 1999 that has this same rendering "priest's custom" in agreement with the 1769 Oxford at 1 Samuel 2:13. This edition is entitled: THE HOLY BIBLE: EDITION OF THE BIMILLENNIUM printed in 1999 by the American Heritage Society. It seems to be a reprint of the text of a KJV editon from the late 1870's.

After checking several Oxford editions of the KJV, the change at 1 Samuel 2:13 in Oxford editions would seem to have been made after 1876.

    1 Samuel 2:13
    priest's custom (1769, 1795, 1804, 1829, 1835, 1857, 1868, 1870, 1876 Oxford editions)
priests' custom (present Oxford in Scofield Reference Bible)

I have found one other present KJV edition that has "priest's custom"--a present-day Thomas Nelson KJV edition that may have been based on a pre-1876 Oxford edition. On the other hand, the Oxford edition in the Scofield Reference Bible may be based on a post-1876 Oxford edition.

    BTW

I have the KJV 1611 on CDROM format. If you were willing to pay for shipping COD, I would send it to you.
