I dropped a paper clip down into my old faithful printer so now off to buy a new one and I have had this one soooo long I don't know any thing about the new ones so maybe I could get some suggestions on what I need. I just copy off a few papers a month, no pictures so far but might in the future. Also need a scanner to go with it. my computer is a microsoft windows XP home addition version 2002 service pack 2, (I don't even know If I need to know all that). I was thinking about seeing what Wal Mart had since we don't have a lot of options around here.

    OOOps!!!!

We have and Love a Lexmark 3-in-1, scanner, copier and printer. Very good quality printing.

HP also makes 3-in-1 units. Wal-Mart should have either brand for under $100.

By all means go for an all-in-one. I am using HP 6210 and get good quality photographs, excellent scans, and trouble-free operation. In addition the software that comes with it is very helpful for editing images and displaying printing options.

I love my Canon S520 printer, if it ever broke I'ld grab another one.

HP Scanjet 2300c scanner does it's job too.

Plenty out there, good hunting [IMG]

I've had Canons, Lexmarks and HPs, and the HP is the most durable and dependable, without a doubt.

I'm using a HP PSC1340 (I think). Very nice machine, but the model numbers are higher now.
