This is a list of Organizations who help Support our Military and their Families. If you know of others to be added to this List, please PM a Moderator. Thank you.

    Wounded Warrior Hospital Fund
Wounded Warriors was started by the soldiers, sailors, airmen, civilians and Marines of the U.S. European Command to purchase quality-of-life items for those soldiers, airmen, sailors and Marines wounded or injured in Iraq and Afghanistan and evacuated to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany.

    Fisher House
The Fisher House program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America's military in their time of need. The program recognizes the special sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and the hardships of military service by meeting a humanitarian need beyond that normally provided by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

    Adopt Our Troops

By selecting a military person to adopt, you agree to pray daily for the individual.

Yes, prayer is the best thing anyone can do. I am so fortunate to be part of a church that really treat their military special. They send out stuff to them constantly, certain people are committed to pray for each specific individual deployed, and the family left behind is taking care of. It is so great to see so many folks stepping up to help a wife of a military member deployed. Our church has men that will do their car work, their yard work, and we have folks who make meals for them and take their kids away from them so they can have a day to themselves. How I love my church and praise God for bringing me here. I leave Hawaii this late summer and already dreading the night I give my farewell speech to my pastor and congregation. I am sorry for being long winded, but the bottom line is let those men and women who are deployed know they are being prayed for daily and their families are being taking care of. Aloha and God bless.

    Lady Eagle,
I thank you for this post. I would like to add, if someone wants to give, but can't spare the $

Please know you can help, by leaving comments on their blogs/websites. A word of encouragement for those in a combat zone. I have many of their websites (25) on my site, just click any soldiers blog and say whats in your heart at the moment or whatever the Lord whispers in your ear.

Please know I am not trying to promote my tiny space on the net. I just started it in May, because it was something to do, while I'm at home so much caring for my mother.

If you've got a vets home nearby, just stop by and visit. You'd be surprised how many of them just need someone to talk with.
